Privacy policy

Amadeo is run by Matheus Teixeira, Brazil. Write to contact@amadeosheets.com about anything on this page.
In short: Amadeo works inside your browser. The sounds you open or record and the scores you make stay on your device. There are no adverts, no tracking cookies and no analytics that follow you.
What stays on your device
Your library (scores and the sounds they came from) is kept in your browser's storage, and so is the language you chose. We cannot see or read any of it. Clearing this site's data in your browser deletes it.
What other services see
- Hosting. Cloudflare serves the site and, as for any website, receives your IP address, your browser and the page you ask for. It keeps these records briefly, to protect the site from attacks.
- Visit counts. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts how many people open each page and how fast it loads. It sets no cookies, keeps no record of who you are and does not follow you to other sites.
- Instrument sounds. When you first play an instrument, its recorded notes are loaded from GitHub Pages (smpldsnds.github.io and gleitz.github.io), which receives your IP address.
- YouTube. Only if you paste a YouTube link, the video plays from youtube-nocookie.com, under Google's privacy policy.
- Shared links. A shared score travels inside the link itself. Whoever has the link can read the score; no copy is kept on a server.
Accounts and payments
When Pro is available, signing in will need your email address. We will keep it with your plan and its dates, and the scores you choose to keep in your account. Payments are processed by Paddle, which sells Pro on our behalf as the merchant of record: Paddle receives your payment details under its own privacy notice, and we never see your card.
Why we may use your data
To give you the service you asked for, to keep the site secure (our legitimate interest), and to keep the payment records the law requires.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, and have it corrected, deleted or sent to you. You can also object to how it is used. These rights come from laws such as the GDPR in Europe, the LGPD in Brazil and the CCPA in California. We answer within 30 days. We do not sell personal data. You may also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Children
Anyone may use the free features without an account. Pro accounts are for people aged 16 and over, or younger with a parent's permission.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. Important changes will be announced on the site.
